It is already on sale de comic book I made this summer for Lerner Group, I had to change my style and adapt myself to some hardcore deadlines of 2-3 pages per day (stop crying!). Under the title "Madrid dibuja", modelling sessions with a common theme are organized at Madrid' old Tabacalera building. This one was my first, and the chosen theme was "H.P. Lovecraft". It had some parts that could be polished more, but all in all, great experience. I'm sure I will be back every week. A los 20 minutos de empezar el boceto, tenía este aspecto:I already finished the comic-book with Lerner, and I'm back to my own projects. But updating in the night between a sunday and a monday is crazy enough, so I save the updates and the drawing with tits for tomorrow. After 20 minutes drawing, this was the stage of the sketch.
Y así tras una hora. He recordado los apuntes de escayolas de la escuela de arte, y no me ha costado encontrar algo para des-oxidarme de dibujar tanto niño y tanto bosque. Es Diego López de Haro el intruso, gobernador de Vizcaya. Uno de sus antepasados se puso el "de Haro" por primera vez. Mi abuelo paterno se apellidaba igual, y dice la leyenda que el de la estatua se casó con una íncubo bien maciza. De ahí viene todo, ahora ya lo sabéis.
And this is how it looks after one hour. I remembered the sketches done in Art School from statues, and I found this one dedicated to Diego Lopez de Haro, governor of Vizcaya. One of his ancestors used the "de Haro" 2nd name for the first time, the same one that my grandfather had. The legend say that the guy married with a half demon woman, the voluptuous kind of. - May 16, 11Pues este es el dibujo que les he preparado a la gente de Mondo-Pixel, y con el que he participado en su quincena dedicada al "Portal 2" que confieso, aún no he jugado. A la primera parte si, POR SUPUESTO. Por cierto, mientras terminaba éste dibujo se me ocurrió una ideaca para otro mil veces mejor, al menos en mi cabeza, que espero poder hacer en algún momento.Pd. Si, tiene algún error, pero el principal se soluciona si pones la carica asi de lado, como la cara que se repite. Aunque no los ponga aquí todos (por no llegar siempre al nivel que quiero), la parte de John Tones está yendo a más cada semana. Un mérito teniendo en cuenta la ubicuidad de Tones ultimamente, escribiendo para El jueves, para El Butano Popular, para Mondo Pixel, y dios sabe qué mas.Por cierto, no tengo ni idea de si a los niños les asusta, y me gustaría saberlo. Por ahora, y digo por ahora, la sangre es el único límite autoimpuesto. Ya ven que los bichos no.I let the Yuyu tale of the week to slide here as if it was easy, but not. Tones and I have been flooded with work lately, and still we manage to produce a new yuyu tale each 2 weeks. Even if I do not post them here all (because I don't like all my drawings the same, that's true), the written part of Tones is going higher each week. A giant task, being as he is busy writting for El Jueves, Butano Popular and who knows what else.By the way, I have no idea if we get to scare any young reader with our tales, and I would like to know about it. By now, blood is the only limit we have. As you see, bugs are not.

Tengo más ilustraciones de IDW por hacer, un dossier que preparar (o dos!), y arranco con un dibujo propio. Es sólo un apunte de una foto que encontré de una chica bañada en leche. Pues yo desayuno primero, segundo y postre.As every two weeks, a new Yuyu tale. Now with those drawings, the grey design for the Juanan pages for "Kiss Comix", the IDW illustrations, and the design of two personal projects, my time schedule skills are going to implode.This way I found recently that if I work all night, and get my breakfast before going to bed, I make it becomes my dinner. - Feb 28, 11Estoy haciendo ilustraciones para IDW, nada muy espectacular, no son portadas, pero son a color, algunas endemoniadamente divertidas, y todas un desafío de realizar.Por primera vez he hecho los bocetos a color también, lo que a la larga me está ahorrando tiempo.En éste que tenía que dibujar algo de la nación de la Reina de Saba, y yo dibujé a la propia reina. Me sugirieron que no, que prefieren tios cachas llevando peso. Os pongo el boceto rechazado porque se que os va a gustar.Por cierto que disfruto el dar color cada vez más. Creo que acabaré consiguiendo la prueba que mande a color, esto es un hecho.I am doing some works for IDW, nothing too fancy, no covers, just illustrations, but color ones. Some of them are a hell of a fun, and some are a real challenge.It's the first time I do the previous sketches in colour, and even being a longer process, I am getting very few of them rejected, so all in all, is a clever system.This one had to show some of the old nation of the Sheba Queen, and I decided to hit the nail doing to the queen herself. But they prefer sweaty muscled guys, and that's what I was told to do. And this one is just for your eyes.

También es cierto que me lo ha pedido con una suave voz robótica mientras me apuntaba con un revólver a la sien, pero lo que importa es el resultado. He probado a dar color sobre una gama de grises que había creado previamente con un rotulador Copic, que era más oscuro de lo que hubiese querido, pero vaya, no ha quedado mal. Es para un regalo que le preparo a mi abuela, que cumple 100 años en un mes. Well, you earned a tree. I did it for the centenary of my grandma, who will be 100 years old in one month. I will print a genealogic tree, with names and pics of her family, with this image as backgrounds, I hope she likes it.

- Dec 28, 10Cuando lei el título del nuevo cuento de Tones, "Ultracuerpo", ya no tuve que leer más, sabía que tenía que dibujar una maciza. Asi que no os preocupeis, el dibujo no tiene ningun espoiler del relato.Esta semana no recomiendo dibujante, porque es navidad, y estan todos los autores en sus jets privados. Asi que os pongo mejor un video que Pequeño Libro de Notas enlaza. Un video que va a mi top five de favoritos. ¡Olimpiadas con monos ya!As the joke in the spanish text is hard to translate, and you can't understand the Tones tale unless you read spanish. (and online translators will give a horror experience to your brain), I'll tell you what's about that title. "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" was translated here as "invasion of ultrabodies" in the remake of 1978, and the title of this tale, "Ultracuerpo", refers to that movie.This week I won't recommend any artist because is Xmas and all of them are flying over international waters on their private jets. This week my gift is the best video ever. I want olympics with monkeys now!

After the fun of the luxury cruise, Vector and company were swallowed by a giant whale (whales are already giantic, so this one was HUGE!) and not before Vector swallowed his champagne!.
Right after landing at the whale's mouth, and using his powers to keep himself at the tongue of the behemoth to see what was happening, Vector found himself sharing the space with another member of the tournament. And what is more important, with his CASH!
Knowing that Mikey had some impressive powers, Vector decided to not let him use them and just accelerate a bullet to the speed and energy of a small meteorite. Mikey was unable to grasp his weapons properly after the impact, letting his magical weapons lose it's grasp, and losing all magical protection. Now it's time for ol' Vector to swim down the whale's throat, and reach the sweet sweet oxigen of it's lungs. - May 10, 12

You can still draw your characters cuffed if that is how they want to protect their cases. So its now optional.
You DONT need to draw characters opening it.
Its that time again folks to put your money where your mouth is, and not only competing for the pride and honour of being the best fighter around, but to also get a nice big briefcase of cash! Before I announce the brackets and the arena, let me just explain the rules...

1st Round starts in the hall of the big ship cruise SMS Dollar but "Explosions can be heard, deafening the contestants. Not only are they fighting now, in this beautiful ship, but its sinking! Is it really sinking!?"
As soon as the first explosions begin to roar, Vector knows that this is his perfect battleground. Sorrounded by hundreds of debris and chunks of the ship flying around, he can take some minutes to do what he always wanted to do in the sea: To surf! with a girl! ON a girl! Marcella fells unconscious as soon as the first explosions hit her, and Vector uses her energy to surf across the hall and the explosions over the big hard green ass of his new friend. - Apr 30, 12
Vector is a young but daring hero with the power of control high amounts of kinetic energy at will. This means he can slow a bullet or add enough energy and speed to it as to destroy a building. His skills can modify the direction of the item he controls, giving him full control of it's momentum. Still as hero, Vector is not too friendly with other of his kind, and prefer to work alone. Now the 3rd 1$ Fight Tournament can be the perfect test field for his skills.
His kinetic power grants him superior speed senses and awarenes of any high kinetic energy being or object around him, so he uses a gun to have easy access to high speed elements to work with. The faster the object moves, the easier for Vector to control it.

- Dec 06, 10asked me about details on this work, so I decided that some more uploads would explain it better than my bad english.
Also, it's an excuse to place the part of the drawing that got a better look. As you see, the base is tradicional drawing, then I made some selections with the mouse, and gave it some smooth tones. After that, and still with selections, I used a few brushes in different layers. I like the "color" and "overlay" ones, but I am a bit chaotic, I use multiply, darken and lighten too, and overall, a duplicated layer of the pencils in darker tones. - Dec 06, 10
This was done as a test for the brushes done by , at least 3 of them were trully awesome, and I will be using them often, no doubt about it.
It's also a test to find the physic of a girl I have to design. She won't be this strong, (or maybe yesl, yay), but I wanted to go further than required, so I can move her down from that point a bit.
Also finding a way to give colour to the pages of the project is an important target, and this could be the path. Just selections and layers at first. Brushes at the end, so I can keep as much control as I can over the image. Next step should be trying a more complex image, with background, and some depth. - Nov 26, 10

This was a test for a work on a french book. The editor wanted a drawing of MJ, and I knew nothing about what style do they want. So this is what I did.
As an interesting note, 3 of my friends were really into the MJ world, me not (well, I bought the Thriller album lot of years ago, but that's all). One of them was even official double of MJ some years ago, doing some stage shows.
All in all I had here some help on the shape of more than 100 pics of MJ, and I chose one of the most known photos of him. - Jul 17, 10
Here you have the last "Tales of Yuyu" tale, written by John Tones, of course, and illustrated by me. It is called "The Mistery of the Sea", and it haves a pretty primeval tone.
At least three of my friends told me they never made the effort of clicking the links and reading the tale, so they never saw the finished drawings with the grey tones. What the hell is that? Are they only reading books that have drawings inside? Well, if thats the case, I'm happy to tell you that the Yuyu Tales dossier is already in the hands of some editors, and with some luck, someday the entire book will be in their hands so they can read it without fear, as it will come full of drawings, hell yeah!.. - Jul 03, 10
